We currently print barcodes using Crystal and IDAutomation UPC barcode font. Our devices scan fine but a couple of customers cannot scan the codes. It was recommended that we use a true barcode printing software instead of Crystal. Any experience using barcode printing software that somehow pulls Syteline data?

I believe almost any barcode software will connect to a database and retrieve data from it.
You can download evaluation copy from Teklynx, Loftware and try it out. Challenge might be how do you control data retrieval from the software. We are looking at Seagull Scientific which offers similar capabilites like Crystal, run as service, use query (stored procedure with parameters?) as data source, then take output and feed that into a label design, hopefully all done from Syteline. Regards, Walter. |

We're currently using Loftware for printing labels. I have SyteLine forms (with lots of UET's) and stored procedures that create data files & sends them to a directory on the loftware server. Loftware also has an XML interface & If I ever figure out how to use XML, I'll probably convert to that. But the data files are currently doing the job.
